Canada Day Picnic in the Park

Location: Assiniboine Park

Join the fun and excitement by celebrating Canada's National Birthday at our July 1st, Canad Day - Picnic in the Park event. This daylong event, geared towards families, includes games and activities for children, exciting entertainment on the Lyric Theatre Stage and a spectacular fireworks show to cap off the day's festivities. Canad Day - Picnic in the Park is open to all interested in attending with no admission charged. Various food vendors are located on site for this event from 12 noon to 10:30 p.m.

Canada Day at the Forks

Location: The Forks

This day-long birthday party is the place to be on July 1. From activities and a wide variety of big stage music and entertainment to a spectacular fireworks display - make sure you bring the whole family.

Osborne Village Canada Day Street Festival

Location: Osborne St. in the Village
Offers: Live entertainment, artisans' market, children's activities

This year, Osborne Village will come alive for two full days, with the street closing in the early morning of June 30th and all day July 1st. Over the course of Winnipeg's largest and longest running Canada Day Street Festival (with some assistance from Mother Nature), we'll see 75,000+ people on our festival site.

Canada Day with the Royal Canadian Mint and the City of St. Boniface

Location: 520 Lagimodière Boulevard and at the corner of Taché Avenue and Provencher Boulevard
Offers: Family entertainment, BBQ, free tours, coin exchange and historical village

From June 21st to July 1st, Célébrations 2008 invites all residents of St. Boniface and Winnipeg to "Celebrate Canada "week. In this centennial year, the eleven special days leading up to Canada day will take on an even more festive air. "Celebrate Canada celebrations are meant to bring our community together to discover and appreciate the rich fabric of our society. It's also an opportunity for all of us to express just how attached we are to our city and our country.

Riding Mountain National Park
